Woooooooo.......It's Wednesday Again.....What's Happening in the Area?

by Sara Holland & Company 10/23/2019

Another Wednesday has arrived, this one brings us just over a week away from one of the greatest fall holidays, Halloween!! And with that in mind, a good majority of the activities in the area this weekend are focused on Halloween for both the young and the young at heart!

Friday Tanger Outlets in Tilton is hosting their annual trick or treat event for the kiddos, so dress them up and bring them down to Tanger Outlets from 5:30-7:00 for a one stop candy stop (don't forget the parent tax when you get home, mmmmm Reeses!!!!).  Can't make it Friday?  Saturday you can check out the Waterville Valley Town Square Courtyard for their Trunk or Treat event from 5-7 pm as well, who doesn't love a one stop, everything in eye shot type of trick or treat experience? I know I do!!! Sign up your car in advance (required) by contacting Town Square at [email protected] or 603-236-8175.  Speaking of Trunk or Treat, perhaps Meredith is a bit closer to you? Well Saturday the 26th Meredith is also hosting their Trunk or Treat at the Meredith Community Center from 4:30-6:00, and once you're done Trunk or Treating, head on into the Community Center for their Halloween Bash, with food, games and prizes, to get more information on this event you can call 279-8197 or check out www.meredithnh.org for more details!

Looking for something a bit scarier??  This next one is just for the teens and adults as it will be scary!!  AbandonedNightmares.com is hosting a Halloween Scaretraction in Plymouth starting Friday 10/25  through 10/27 from 7 PM - 10:30 pm.  This event has a 20-30 minute, "scare time" with photo ops, food vendors and free parking.  Admission is $25 at the door or $20 online.  Check out www.abandonednightmares.com for more information and to purchase tickets. Keep in mind, this is an extremely scary attraction and is not recommeneded for young children!

Maybe you don't want to be scared or gather a bunch of candy this weekend? Well there are still plenty of options out there for you!  The Fall Vintage Market on Squam is this weekend.  This is a two day event, admission is $5 and gets you a ticket for both days as well as enters you in a raffle to win one of 40 great prizes!  Starting Saturday at 9 am, this event is a popular one and hosts tons of vintage vendors and crafters. There will be food, beer and cider tasting and live music starting at noon each day!  for more information check out www.vintagemarketonsquam.com

Friday the 25th through Sunday the 27th, Seven Birches Winery in Lincoln will play host to the White Mountains Crush Festival.  Come and stomp grapes like in that classic episode of "I Love Lucy", sample wine, learn from winemakers and eat your heart out.  Activities start as early as 11 am some days and run til about 10 pm.  For more information and a more detailed schedule, check out www.sevenbirches.com/white-mountains-crush-festival/

Saturday is also National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.  Local police departments in your area will be taking prescription medications as well as e-cigarette cartridges.  Head over to the DEA page link below and find the location nearest you, clean out those medicine cabinets! https://takebackday.dea.gov/

No matter what you choose to do, as always we here at Sara Holland & Company wish you a fun filled and happy weekend.
