This weeks Hot Spot is The Dam Brewhouse in Campton, NH. The Dam Brewhouse is the perfect place to have a cold local brew after a day hiking the trail or skiing the slopes. Located near the Campton Dam on Route 175 just past the Campton Cupboard. A hole in the wall stop that is everything you’d expect – warm, inviting and well worth it.
Owner’s Sarah & John share the vision of community, recreating the old-style Public House where ideas are born of good conversation over a local brew. Having just celebrated their one year anniversary, their establishment has done just that.
You’ll find the weekly rotation of brews on tap right on their website, and you’ll delight at the witty and very New Hampshire-esque names they’ve chosen for each one. Although you may not care to try every brew on the list you’re certain to find something you like.
The atmosphere is great as well. A true hole in the wall feel tucked off the Main Street but filled with ambiance. You’ll see all types there; locals, weekenders and those just passing through. There are hikers, and skiers, contractors, and teachers; you’ll find all kinds here which goes to show that the public house can bring everyone together.
Put The Dam Brewhouse on your list of must-visit places in the Pemi Baker Valley. Check their website below for hours and available brews.
